Browning edges in glass suggest that it might be fading. Bubblegum aromas with strawberry, raspberry and vanilla in the background. A small note of fresh cut hay too. The palate pops with a big bowl of cherries and the hay component shows up with a little spice and mushroom. Bright acid on the finish rounds out the lighter tannin profile. Drink for next 5-7 years.

from half bottle in a restaurant off the list, my first red from this domaine. Pretty good wine. Fruit is excellent, dark w violets. Balanced and finishes fairly long.

“The elegance and silken texture this wine delivers at this price ($59) is simply not the norm....”
- Ian Cauble SommSelect. This was perfect with our Thanksgiving Turkey.

Here we go again see previous notes. Oxidized nose. Brown tinge. Off flavors musty? I will take this one for a second opinion to my shop tomorrow. Ok this was drinkable the next day and the staff at the Meritage in Encinitas thought it is not flawed. But I maintain this is not a great wine.

This tastes green today? Strange for a hot year like 2009. I really liked this wine when tasted before buying. Corked? Nope coravined second bottle it's the same this is weird stuff herbs? Too bitter ladybugs on the grapes? If you have this wine drink now and decant may be that helps. I am not convinced. In a way this kills this producer for me.
