Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir

Soooo much time needed to bring this package together. The foundation is there.

Just lovely and drinking very well right now--gives you that Burgundy sigh-of-contentment feeling.

2018 enjoyed 9/2020 Meaty, fruity, floral on nose which turned out to be consistent for the all Gevrey tasted tonight. medium weight, medium high acid, medium firm tannins. rating 8.8

More than 1.5 hours decanting should be necessary. Otherwise, completely different. Then, concentration. Still a bit tannic. Spicy. Blackberry, blackberry and plum. Dry. Cherry. 2016 @2328, chateau -, 230322-230430

Red and black fruit, textured with good tannins and a youthful grip. Will become elegant with time

Nice. Lots of layered ripe dark fruit, just a touch of vanilla. Spur cherry on the palate finish. The fun part is the tannins though, enough grip a texture to underline the slightly rustic character.

A bit shy, but opened up over time — fruity, then mineral, then savory. Might be past its prime, but still very nice.

Red fruit, wet rock. Medium bodied, silky tannins.
