Black cherries and kirsch, grippy tannins, balsamic reduction, sage and thyme. The youthful vigor this wine is exciting. Decidedly virile and intense, this was a heavenly pairing with roasted elk, mushrooms and blackberry reduction.

Combottes sits between Latricieres Chambertin and Clos de La Roche. Stems were included here with lifted aromatics and a velvety mouthfeel. Very impressive. The Morey 1er Au Cheseaux is only about 150 meters E of Combottes.
