The boys have come a long way. This wine had Mourvèdre depth for days

An extra year in the cellar has been kind here. The full feral yet airy breadth of this wine arrives sooner in the decanter (90 minutes, maybe?) and is more of a piece than when this wine was younger. Fruit and savory, complexity and lightness. And a touch of peach. Fuck yeah. Thanks @Rowdy Food @Hardy Wallace !

I'm upping my rating on this. Wine needed air to show its full glory. Today, it's blowing dark fruit, tree bark, big cinnamon and dark spice - yet, it remains fresh and vibrant. It still reminds me of really good Cru Beaujolais but the Mourvèdre character is more present. Yum!

Floral, blackberries, funk. Better the second day open. Fun stuff 👍

Had at Fruition in Denver. Dads Bday. Opened up nicely after decanting. Balanced tannins and fruit. Paired well with all the food.

Very simple and almost stupid out of the gate, maybe I should call it primary, I dunno. It did improve with air, so maybe there is something here. I'm going to forget the others I have in the cellar, stumble into them down the road. For now, I'll try to forget I paid $40/bottle, given the alternatives.
