Not typical of Grenache… monstrous and all over the place. Took three days to smooth out and become drinkable. Had it for Halloween so somewhat appropriate and trick’s on me.

This deep, dark Grenache blend shows a bit of savory funk on the nose, with black olives, meat and tobacco coming through. The palate has cherry and dark berry flavors, along with chalky, earthy notes. The mouthfeel is full andcrefreshing, with enough tannic structure to handle a steak, or any other meat dish. The finish lingers awhile, which is a pleasure.

Gorgeous aromatic complexity but the mid-palate was hot w/ABV - finish was a bit rough. Thought this was overdone, over manipulated and clumsy. Smelled great tho - hard to believe this is same vintage as last time
