Strong vanilla on the nose. So strong you could even go cocoa with it. It's definitely what they say it is with regard to the Sonoma Cabernet distinction. It's good, but I'd rather go Napa at this price.

2012 vintage. 62% merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Zinfandel, 4% Cabernet franc. Easy drinking style with plum and some raspberry. Oak and vegetal notes. Acidity gives some lift, tannins were grippy until wine was able to open up on second glass.

Decent, straight forward American red wine. Good for the grill. Paired nicely with beef kabobs tonight.

Vanilla and roasted cocoa on the nose. Palate is tart/under ripe red fruits up front (think cranberry, current, young raspberry). Followed by cocoa and herbal notes. Soft tannins keep the party rolling

Hard to find a good Pinot. This is a good one you can find at cheap grocery stores
