My fourth and last bottle of vintage. Great acidity, long lived, solid varietal character

My third bottle of the vintage. I love this varietal and just want to give it another shoutout. Support the producers of the more obscure grape varieties out there, if you can. Cheers!

Retasting five months later. Melon and citrus notes in nose initially. Similar flavors plus orchard fruit and apricot in mouth, lemony finish. Creamy, nuanced, lovely flavor profile, balanced acidity. A tad more skin astringency intensity than I’d like at first, but much to admire here as the wine integrates over time. Also, this is a much better wine than communicated by its labeling, IMHO.

Pale yellow white in color, excellent clarity. Light, green apricot and lemon flavors with minerality. Soft, leesy, lactic acid finish. Largely neutral dry table wine, nicely textured, nuanced flavors. Nothing “in your face” about this one.

A hint sweet nose and finish, more acid would have helped

M- intensity on the nose. Green apple, white flowers, citrus and minerality. M acid. M body. Cuts off a bit short on the palate.

2013 D.F.B. Melon de Bourgogne from De Ponte Cellars. Honeydew and apricots with a slight honey on the nose. Smells crisp yet soft. Slightly acidic but quickly dissipates into a lush smooth finish

#wine has white flowers out the wazoo, lemony, honey. Falls a bit short on the tension meter for me, could be the vintage

I want to marry this wine and have 10,000 of its babies. @delectable #delectableapp

This vintage is more acidic than others I’ve had. Pairs well with rare tuna and miso glazed carrots — cuts the umami with acid and a hint of fruit. White peach and lychee play with clean mineral notes.
