From magnum, bought at the cellar door. This was a great bottle to share w old friends whom we travelled with to the winery 15+ years ago.
This is still firm, and starting to dry out. With mostly tertiary bottle aromas of fruit leather, wet stone, hint of cherry preserves/bitter almond.
The memory in this bottle is perhaps more important than the actual flavor.

Quite chunky and needs time. Purple fruit and garrigue, tons of minerality, almost overwhelmingly so. This needs a few years to rein itself in. Certainly a special wine in the making. Value-wise, it's probably commensurate with the price point, but there's a unique-ness to this that makes the cost somewhat moot - a unicorn wine.
