Darioush, a winery noted for its Bordeaux style estate wines. Aged for 11 months I. French oak, 70% new. Aromas of clean ripe stone fruits, citrus and oak notes. On the palate apple, peach and lemon flavors with underlying creaminess. Gentle oak comes through to the lingering finish with great structure with acidity and lively mineral character. Small production, grab a bottle before they are gone.

This Chardonnay was wild. Never had a chard like this. Such heavy viscosity to it! Since it was tasted blind, someone even asked if it could possibly be a dessert wine. My first and final thought was a Roussanne. So much honey, Meyer lemon, apricot and pineapple. Full bodied and large Chardonnay.

Buttery, Oaky Chardonnay, notes of white chocolate macadamia nuts. One of my favorites

Just lovely. I'm not big on whites or Chardonnay but this was just as I remembered tasting it at the Darioush winery.

Fruit and acid. Quite drinkable yet not soulful.

This was photo of Chardonnay. Excellent acid with exquisite complexity and minerality. Most exciting Chardonnay since the one I sipped from Dawn's lips.

We had tinge 2016 Chardonnay on 1/2-3/23. The flavors notes almost three years ago are maintained: pear, apricot, toffee and light oak and vanilla. A well balanced and full bodied Chardonnay. Darioush makes good wine at a reasonable price.

A good choice to compare to the Art Series. More opulent in its richness yet at the same time more vibrant. Stone fruits plays 2nd fiddle to the bright citrus fruit. There is light toasty touch that I really like.
Beautiful Napa chard.
