Delightfully old-school. Highly expressive volcanic, mineral terroir imprint. Briary, racy fruit and lots of smoke, tar and crushed violet.

So tough to follow up an amarone with an aglianico so I know im doing no justice here but its very light and subtle. Not bad but nothing special.

Tar and smoke, high toned fruit, shy on depth, bracing tannins.

Awesome #aglianico del vulture from #Basilicata. This is a gem that consumers unfortunately ver look in #restaurants and #wineshops. This is a serious #wine. Complex aroma with sweet earth, cacao, light smoke, and red fruits. On the palate, it's smooth, structured, and and nice finish with red fruits. This wine will continue to create wonderful wine experiences as it ages the next 5 years.

I love this wine. Vegetal, green bell pepper, broken leaf, some red current. Tight structure, mineral.

2011. Earthy. Ashy. Smokey. Everything you want from a volcanic wine. With tons of acid and tannins. Stands up to food like Tyson yet elegant to drink by itself. Love it!

Now this is more like it, yay for aging in botte! Dark fruit, herbal background. Nicely tannic.
