Great wine to pair with a nice meal at the Third Corner. Structured and subtle.

ever so pretty on the nose right out of the bottle- violet, dried red cherry, new leather barely hinting of tar. Day 2- a little more tar, woodsy..pine? eucalyptus? still with dried red fruit. silky entry, tannins come early and acid pulls it all out long. gorgeous.

Beautiful smoked sour cherry flavor backdropped by rose water and some subtler gamier tones. Dusty tannic grip and a vibrant acidic drive. Charming and lovely on a nippy Nashville December evening.

How can a wine smell simultaneously of leather and spring flowers? It’s earthy, with forest floor, plus a fresh scent like daffodils and violets. Also: anise and crushed basil adding spicy top notes. The finish is tea and flowers. An accessible and light-textured Barolo, ready to drink now. 14% abv | $35 (sample)

From 375ml. Light red berries with a hint of spice. Light oak and well managed tannins.

More evolution than I expected. Still sound but perhaps better a year ago. Barolo Lecinquevigne is a blend of Nebbiolo from five vineyards; Barolo, Verduno, Grinzane Cavour, La Morra and Novello. Sweet strawberries, orange notes, roses, leather, tobacco, and subtle hints of violets and tar. Nice pair with Cari's lasagna.

Nice, 10 year old Barolo. Unfolding nicely.

All these '10s seem to have such soft fruit up front. But still balanced with tannins and acidity.

Well it is Friday again and I am going to northwest Italy to have a bottle of.Barolo. On the nose we get some good dark plum, cassis, tobacco, camp fire smoke and wet soil. The palate brings me good dark fruit, sweet tobacco, licorice, an acid bite, tannins that give that nice drying feeling and a good finish that lasts. I would be more than happy to purchase this bottle again.
