An impressive 1997. Still very balanced with some dried berry and herb notes starting to poke through the still vibrant structure.

Very young with loads of potential. Wonderful fruit, well integrated tannin structure and nicely balanced. Would lay off 5 years before popping another bottle.

Beautiful nose...violets, blackberry, black cherry, sweet leather, cigar ash, graphite, potting soil. Perfect balance and everlasting finish.

Great wine from a not so great year in California . It was amazing! Showing soft tannin structure. Great balance medium to full in body. Eagles Carolina Tailgate at its best!

2 hr decant and it needed it. This has significant life left as there is plenty of acid and tannin left. Early this showed cherries, saline and soy at 1 hr. We started drinking at 2 hrs with significant blackberry, black cherry, cedar, graphite and pencil shavings. Consumed over 90 min and raspberries began to show up near the end, but even then still some tannins and acid left. Interesting to see where this goes in 3 years. I would've put this as a 2010. Good, but has room to get even better, even at 11 yrs old.
