an approachable Chinon, ripe bing cherry, mineral stoney undertones, medium weight, medium acid, dusty tannins. Not as astringent as I expect Chinon to be making it glass-pourable.

Dried cherry, cranberry, herbal, some nutmeg. Comparable to a Chianti. Alcohol shows a little, but a light chill helps. Good on a dreary evening. Better on the second day.

CVed 2/18/17. First taste of this cab franc. On nose notes of earth and a bit more funk than petites Roches. Heavier body with more acids and tannin that reminds me of the 80s single vineyards. Not quite as balanced as petites Roches. of that green peppers but also wild flowers and minerals. Medium finish that lingers with notes of forests and leaves.
