As a stand-alone Wine it showed the interesting combination of deep earth on the nose and then juicy fruit on the tongue. In combination with a well cooked steak and some delicious sides like charred broccoli, it shone as the perfect accompaniment to the meal. A wonderful example of a wine not only accompanying, but making the entire meal better. Wine goes with food!

Medium ruby; medium intensity aromas of dark fruit, blackberry, black plum, black cherry, vinyl, underbrush, cedar, baking spices; dry, medium plus acid, medium ripe tannins, high alcohol, full body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium plus finish, very well balanced and well integrated, a big wine but not overwhelming

I'm not a fan of Spanish reds, but I don't dislike this wine. The crunchy blackberry flavor that I first taste is nice, but it's followed by the dry, bitter, tannic aftertaste that I oftentimes find in Spanish reds. Luckily, the sensation is less pronounced with this wine, especially after it aerates for a while.

Such a different Priorat from the others I have been drinking. Seemed much denser in every aspect of the wine. Different and enjoyable.
