Full bodied, slightly acidic, smooth with a little bit of a peppery finish and lots of fruit. This is why I love Italian wine! The Wine Cellar Boynton Beach

There is a legend behind this grape that after successfully defeating the City of Troy with his Trojan horse, Diomedes is said to have travelled to northern Puglia, where he founded the City of Troia, planting the vine cuttings he brought with him. It’s a delicious wine bursting with dark cherry flavor with a nice long finish. Another nice grape from Italy that I am enjoying!

Very interesting example of a unique Italian grape. Earthy-spicy Super Tuscan-like nose with laid back fruit. Rich mouthfeel and medium tannins. It's really hard to describe the uniqueness of this wine. Quite memorable.

We drank this bottle tonight because the label looked like a dead White Walker horse — but it’s also Super Tuscan-like with medium tannins and a rich mouthfeel. Jammy and a bit sharp at the end. All in all, great pairing for GoT #wsjwine

Smooth, with earthy flavor. Full, pretty long, and a nice peppery oak finish. From a WSJ Wines Advent Calendar. Tasted 18 February 2023.

Dark and rich Italian blend with blackberry and vanilla notes. Strong taste, but not smoky or bitter. Great if you like a more potent red wine.
