so deep and rich yet light. Dark sweet fruit, but lifted. Great definition. Really good.

Blend of 52% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca with small amounts of other permitted grapes. Deep Ruby color with purple edges, aged for about 18 months on oak, displays complex aromas of ripe fruits and sweet floral spice. On the palate ripe sweet juicy blackberry and cherry flavors emerge, velvety and smooth. Tannins are present and tight and chewy, well balanced. Long finish ending with ripe juicy fruit, spice and  slight earthy character, Very Nice! Can drink now but will develop over next decade!

Brown sugar, stewed prunes and sour cherries, alcohol has integrated well, this is melange of smooth velvety waves of textures ... not just flavors

[WSET D5 notes] Deep purple, medium intensity, plum, blueberry, dark floral, "Douro bake”, gamey, savory, menthol, spice, sweet, VA, fortified high alcohol, medium+ acidity, medium+ fine-grained tannins, medium+ body. Medium flavor intensity esp more spicy notes, and savory minty earthy notes. Palate shows the youth of the wine, alcohol is unbalanced. Medium+ finish. Improve with further aging bc with so much solid dominant primary fruit it will turn into more tertiary fruit with bottle age, with the structure to support aging - tannins, acidity, and sugar will allow it to evolve and integrate.

Cooked fruits and brown sugar, delicious oxidation offering maderised notes. It’s easy to love and enjoy a wine with that much complexity and lenght.

This is the famous 77 - what they call the "forgotten vintage". Never declared, Cockburns under ownership of Allied Domecq. It's very fine, not great, fig and high spice notes, old old cigar box, delicate, hint of oxidation.
