Clos Puy Arnaud
Grand Vin Côtes de Castillon Red Bordeaux Blend
Very good quality with a Good balance between primary and the secondary aromas, a good fruit intensity is supporting the defined oak profile, plenty of provenance and a developing finish.

Dec 29th, 2018Really good the 2nd and 3rd day. Tannins are dry not sweet so given some time this shows it's stuff. Steak or lamb pairing. SS

Jun 6th, 2017Really excited to see what happens here. Some nature-esq funk to the supple fruit, a fine frame of structure that shows why Merlot can be gorgeous in spotlight. There is a resonance to this wine that I've not encountered in so many Bordeaux, it feels complete and drinkable now but I'd love to see it develop,

Feb 11th, 2017Suprisingly rich and juicy. Silky smooth, nice acidity but without good tannin support ended up tasting a bit jammy.
Bordeaux / Cotes de Bordeaux; 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon,
33 euro, $46 (purchased in St Emillion tourist zone)

This wine was weird. I thought it was completely Madeirized when I opened it. Let it sit around for a few hours and it came around. Still felt kind of ripe and flabby but the oxidized character had resolved.

May 29th, 2023Toasted notes, floral, violet, rose, blackberry, blackcurrant, black truffle, tobacco. Beautiful flexibility, with pretty evolved notes that blend with ageing, on a fruitiness that is still very lively, the balance is charming.
Notes toastées, floral, violette, rose, mûre, cassis, truffe noire, tabac. Belle souplesse, avec de jolies notes évoluées qui se fondent à l’élevage, sur un fruité encore bien vif, l’équilibre est charmant.
