Total beauty at full maturity. Asian spices, garigue, kirsh, long burn. And in a great year. Amazing bottle. This is of course a bottle of the magnificent red not white.

From a half bottle. Still very expressive and powerful for over 20 years later in a 375. Beautiful wine. So mineral.

Hot brick and opulent sweet red cherry. Under layer of sweet spice and liquorice. Burgundian elegant mixed with Chateau-neuf. Such an amazing example of admirable Grenache blend!

Popped and poured. Quite bright in the glass...more ruby than garnet. Awesome aromas of red fruit, spice and garrigue. On the palate, bright red fruits that comes across so fresh and delightful but there's a great deal of nuanced complexity to it with spices, minerals and sous bois. This is arguably the most Burgundian CNdP that I've ever had and I love it! Not terribly tannic; easy to enjoy now. Acid is balanced and perfect for a meal. What a treat! With a little evolution, this could be even better. Drink now or hold.

Youth meets tertiary, and I love CdP in "off" vintages, especially from top producers. My favorite producer, Paul April males this is special wine from a special vineyard that used to actually be owned by the Papacy. The white CdP is outstanding too.
Savory strawberry, rhubarb, red plum, blood oranges, a touch of roast beef, peppercorn spice, and a pronounced floral finish.
Fine as silk, with a seamless palate and good acidity.
