Jun 5th, 2023Saturday night I opened the 2018 Cliff Lede Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. I over chilled the wine so I waited until it came back to a more reasonable temperature. Over chilling muted the aromatics. Once it was at the appropriate temperature the aromas came back very nice.
On the nose there were notes of white peach, Asian pear, bell pepper, jalapeño, tarragon, ginger, lemongrass, herbs and wet concrete.
On the palate the is grapefruit, lemon/lime, white peach, white flower, herbs and nice minerality.
This wine is light to medium bodied and the is a smooth oily mouthfeel with a medium + to high acidity that leads into a long citrus finish. Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers out there. Have a great day, stay safe and be healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Aug 10th, 2017Soft and inviting - the nose carries mandarin orange, meyer lemon and ginger root. Herbaceous undertones - sweet basil and lavender. The 14% semillon adds a round, weighted texture while still maintaining the crisp, acidic backbone I like in my SB. I actually liked it more on day ✌🏽.
