It is on the lighter end of medium bodied, with lots of currant and blackberry fruits up front, with a splash of cherries to the finish. It perfectly complemented spaghetti with ricotta meatballs, pecorino garlic bread, and steamed garlic olive oil greens.

Not sure the spicy sausages was the right thing to have with this wine. But nonetheless we really enjoyed it.
Deep rich colours but amazingly with a sweet taste of strawberries! The spice ruining our palate I reckon.
A definite to buy again.

Must be hard to be a producer in beleaguered Puglia. Oceans of IGT's and bulk wines everywhere!
Here's an attempt that I've seen before: Primitivo-based blends made with the appassimento method. Without any doubt looking to differentiate your product in an ocean of cheap mediocrity. Do they make it?
Uhmm, no doubt they mask the local character but the results are not bad. Would I drink it? No, but I don't see why others wouldn't, considering the attractive retail price.

This unusual red is a blend of Merlot, Primitivo (AKA Zinfandel), and a varietal I am unfamiliar with, Negroamore ("black love"??). It is full bodied and a great cocktail wine, but has flavors I have never tasted in a red wine before - cinnamon and spice in a medium bodied slightly jammy fruit bomb. The tingly lingering finish reminds me of nothing so much as peppermint extract! Strange but wonderful 🍷😺
