2016 vintage. 65% Sauvignon blanc with 35% Sémillon. At the time this estate was owned by Jean-Michel Cazes (Lynch Bages and more recently Haut-Batailley), but the current owners are the Groupe Ballande (Bordeaux négociants who also own Prieuré Lichine and Baret). Exotic fruit and a hint of flowers. Round and ripe with enough acidity in this warm vintage. Good length with impressions of vanilla. Good value.

50/50 Sauvignon B / Semillon blend in this vintage.
Starts off quite Semillon like - vanilla, wax, exotic fruits, lychee... with time grassy lemons emerge.
On the palate this works surprisingly well - blending the waxy roundness with sharp lemon acidity. Needs a bit of time to open up, so let it breathe to fully appreciate.
I’m positively surprised how quickly the bottle emptied (the 12.5% alc clearly boosting drinkability)

チョイスが大島らしい。
解説によると、かんきつけい果実やトロピカルの豊かな香り。ふくよかでフレッシュな酸味が心地良く、バターや新樽にゆらいするヴァニラのニュアンスとモクレンの香りが! だと。
実際、ふくよかだと思うし、甘やかな香りはする。酸も嫌味じゃない。
