St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend

Big boy and young.. Just having fun with Christmas dinner. Overpowered our prime rib, but who cares, we have Pinot also, which is working great. Back to the Bordeaux... 85% merlot, 15% cab franc. Plum, spice, earth, funk, caramel/toast and big tannin. In 10-years it'll be beautiful.

Funky, earthy good tannins.

Nice Bordeaux. Classic blend, dry and a bit leathery. Great on the second day.

Tasty and tannic, with peppery cassis. Been open 24 hours now and still tastes great. Young vintage though - could still use plenty of time before opening!

This wind has been open for two days. Very ripe fruit showing through soft tannins in a fine example of Bordeaux.

Bought at Total Wine in Myrtle Beach. Very good!

Interesting Blend of Merlot and Cab Franc. Surprisingly Fruit forward (cherries) for an old world wine. (Thought it could have been a California blend). A bit tight but quite smooth. Pleasant.

Earthy nose, a little bit of black berry. Medium tannins peppery finish. Definitely needs time to open up. The longer I let it sit the better it tastes.

Leather and tobacco. Good start for the price
