Eighty-Five Fifty-Five Sonoma County Merlot Blend

Working for this brand now so I might biased but I am enjoying this. Rich flavor and well balanced blend

Big and aggressive. Huge dark fruit buttressed by cedar, good acid, and heady alcohol. Tannin is mellow and fine. This one goes to 11.

Medium bodied, full palate and and bouquet, pairs well with red sauce pastas and also stands up well to curries. Delightful. Let it breathe.

Earthy.

Delicious fruity forward blend with acidic mid tones and a smooth lingering finish

Dark and somewhat tight to start. Not so familiar with what Petite Verdot ought to taste like (34percent), but there is a taste of Merlot (27percent).

Dark fruit, jammy notes.

Winemaker Margot's plaything, named for the winery's address. A lot of big red flavors but heavy handed with tannins and could use more balance.

Huge and fantastic. Yes well rounded and inviting. Lots of fruit and body and well structured tannin.

Strawberry and a hint of spice on the nose. Some herbaceous upfront with cranberry notes. Nice tannic finish that reminded me of black tea

Deep, smoky, developed nose with notes of cassis, black plum with touches of earth, forest floor and mushroom. Juicy, a little spicy and still young and vibrant on the palate. Dark flavors of black cherry, black plum and raspberry lead to notes of oak, leather, dried herbs and black pepper. The finish is full of soft, drying tannins with long, vibrant acidity and a touch of smoke. Beautifully aged, although still a baby, and great pairing with Beef Bourgogne!
