2022 vintage. Deep dark red with purplish rim. More power than finesse, slightly over extracted, dry finish. Diam cork.

Outstanding QPR! 51% Cab Sauv, then Merlot, Cab Franc, and Petit Verdot. Drinking very well now with some air but has stuffing. Love the balance here. With NY Strip.

Blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits, spice and dried herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants and ripe cherry with smoky spice and forest herbs. Fine firm tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, cedar and earthy mineral character.

2018 vintage. Estate owned by the Bignon Cordier family (Talbot). Cabernet Sauvignon (59%), Merlot (29%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petit Verdot. First vintage under the management of Jean-Michel Laporte and a very solid effort. Cassis and fine cedar wood. Very approachable fresh, fruitdriven Haut-Medoc with impeccable balance and good length. Terrific value at 15 euros.Highly recommended. Abv. 14%.

A great wine for drinking not thinking. Only getting more lovely over the years.

Meh. Run-of-the-mill Bordeaux aromas of dried old leaves, scorched earth, and a bit of fruit. A little severe in the mouth, with little fruit and a dried, scorchy finish.

What an interesting wine. First pour started off with some volatility on the nose, and a soupy, murky palate that hinted at porcini and decayed leaves as well as red fruit. I had low expectations for the bottle over the course of the evening, as it seemed ready to fall apart. Then the opposite happened - it came together, tightened up, to where the last glass was a elegant, refined, cohesive glass of red fruits with an herbal twinge. The VA remained, but this was very enjoyable nonetheless. Edit: reading notes on the same vintage below I wonder about the cork quality in this particular bottle

Cassis, tobacco, green bell pepper. Super primary. Stiff tannin. Nice acid. Sénéjac is a dependable Bordeaux when you want a Bordeaux.

Dense black fruit that envelopes the mouth, teeming with licorice, and forest/incense aromatics. It will be one of my great regrets if I fail to acquire more of this.
