Single-vineyard blend of Syrah (75%) and Grenache (25%), deep Ruby color with aromas of dark fruits and pepper spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, figs and currants with cacao and earthy notes. Long finish, fine tannins, nice mouthfeel, ending with fruit, earthy mineral and pepper spice. Biodynamically farmed, drinking well now!

Tomorrow is international Grenache day, so let's open one to celebrate.

Ruby in color with a wide dirty reddish rim.

On the nose blueberries, cherries, raspberries, black currants, earth, wood, vanilla, vegetables, spices, licorice, eucalyptus, graphite, black pepper, dark coffee and alcohol.

Medium-bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, raspberries, strawberries, red currants, bell pepper, green vegetables, bitter herbs, wet leaves, peppercorn, oak, licorice, spices, coffee, cola, pencil lead and earth.

Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a nice Grenache blend from the Rhône Valley. Not fully balanced anymore, but drinking nicely even by itself.

Showing nice earthy notes with a little bit of fruit. Soft and spicy mouthfeel with nice complexity.
A good food wine. Was probably better a year or two ago. Should be served lighty chilled.

I opened it up with the
#Vspin for 7 minutes and it seemed to do the trick.

I paired it with cheeses and crackers.

A blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah.

14% alcohol by volume.

87 Points.

$15.

In 1985, Paul and Edith Chaudiere left their jobs in private industry to study wine at Suze la Rousse, and created winery in 1989. Nice deep Ruby with aromas of red berry and pungent spice notes. Cherry and raspberry flavors with pepper spice and some citrus zest. Fine tannins, good balance and acidity, medium length ending with mineral tones. Nice value.

Juicy fruit, but rather tough in texture. A bit of funk and reduction on the nose. Muddled raspberry and mud. #sommcon

Excellent complexity coupled with youthful jubilance on nose, loaded with Mediterranean spice and purple flowers, black olive liquorice and juicy plums. Bright and punchy, very spicy and streamlined, beautiful rhone inner perfume, non-obtrusive alcohol, finishes succulent and easy drinking, with striking acidity. Fantastic, food friendly rendition of rhone lifestyle wine!

2010 Vintage and the app returns a sold out on the price check. This bottle was part of a gift basket received for the holiday and I have no price to offer. A ruby red in color and by definition (alc content) this would be considered a full-bodied wine. I found it very light on the palate. Not sure I would go looking for it, but if served, I would not shy away from refills.
