Blend of 49% Merlot, 43% Cab Sauv, 4% Cab Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, aged in 30% new and 70% one-year old barrels for 12 months, deep Ruby with aromas of red/black fruits and notes of tobacco and earthy herbs. On the palate flavors of Black cherry, raspberry and currants, light cigar spice, cacao and herb notes. Firm approachable tannins, long finish ending with fruit and earthy mineral character. Very nice!

2015 vintage. Deep and brooding with fine-grained tannins and very dark fruit profile. Black currant, blackberry, raspberry liqueur, graphite, cedar, grilled tarragon, autumn leaves.

3rd wine from Montrose I believe, very drinkable now - stewed fruits and already rounded tannins

Developed nicely with some air. Mineral and dark fruit. A nice little wine.

Leather first. Spicy. Earthy etc. saint estephe flavor. Mid body with transparent garnet. 2nd day is much better than first day. 24 hours decanting seems to be necessary? 2012 @1200, xiaduo -, 211228-220117

Nose of blackberry, menthol, steeped black tea, wet stone, and light medicinal. A bit lean on the palate, a bit water down.
Considering this is the 3rd wine of the chateau, it’s not bad. But I was hoping a very good 2015 vintage would do some Magic.
