Château Lynch-Bages
Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
Had two bottles. First one corked. Second lacked edges of a great year but a pleasant, cigar box glass nevertheless. Thank you Henry. #birthyearwine #wontmakeittilyoure21

Jan 13th, 2019Deep garnet red with lighter edges. Layered nose with notes of dark berries, spices, and herbal. A bit woody too with some damp earth and tobacco notes. Medium tannins (5.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Solid acidity with red berries, touch darker as well, dark spices, twigs and some minerality. Dry and medium plus finish. Drink till 2022.

Dec 21st, 2016Solid example in an off vintage, but sometimes this is where the gems are, showing a predominate oak influence, but it's because the fruit never really lived up to it.
