These are good young but, needs 6-10 plus to really shine and show more on the palate.

The nose reveals; melon tropicals, stone fruits, white citrus, beautiful minerality, wet stones, yellow lilies and spring flowers.

The body is thick, rich and just touch waxy. Melon tropicals, pineapple, stone fruits, white citrus, gripping volcanic minerality, white spice, wet stones, yellow lilies and spring flowers. Excellent round acidity and balanced, well polished finish. Picks up 2-4 points with the right bottle age.

Photos of; Chateau Lynch Bages, Branded work shed in the middle of their Estate vines, old oak vats that have been sold or move as their remodel should be done next summer and Estate vines.

Born in 1990, "Blanc de Lynch-Bages" is the fruit of joining the 3 white varietals of Bordeaux appellation, from 8 parcels of Lynch-Bages terroir. Pale lemon-green with aromas of tropical fruits with floral notes. Palate flavors of melon, citrus with sweet spice. Medium+ length, balanced acidity, ending with a fruit and floral spice character. Very good!

On the nose, stone fruits, pineapple, green melon, soft chalkiness with spring flowers.

The body is round, full & gluey. The acidity is slightly off. Stone fruits, pineapple, green melon, Meyer lemon, just a touch of green apple skin, edgy minerality, powdery chalkiness with spring flowers.

Needs some time in bottle.

A rich and beautifully shimmering gold color belies a nose that is salty like the sea, with some cut lawn grass and gooseberry. However nut and honey enhance and counter with a mild sweetness to the salty nose. The palate is firm and completely mineral and loaded with juicy acidity. Some of the saline comes through with a thrust of honeydew melon and tart yellow apples. Long and clean on the finish. The saline and nut aromas make me think of slight oxidation so if Lopez de Heredia whites are not your thing avoid this vintage. If you do enjoy LdH Blanco though the palate on this suggests more to come. #lynchbages #bordeauxblanc #bordeaux #sauvignonblanc #semillon #thegoldenrule

The Lynch-Bages Blanc de Lynch-Bages sees the least oak, the most steel and the least maturation for a more elegant and fruit forward expression dominated by the Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle ad this was the most aromatic of the group. I actually prefer this wine with more air on day when opened at 5 years of age or less.

Shape shifter with food - one bite and sip showcases the great grassy, gooseberry Sauvignon, the next emphasizes the round, figgy semillon. Felt overworked to me, but others were enchanted.
