Light tobacco with some umami notes (roast beef?) on the nose. Sour cherries in the front, but they’re not intense enough to be unpleasant. Medium tannins with some earthy notes. Slightly sour finish.

Costco cheapie. Perfect color. Ruby red. Aroma is French style Merlot. Funky streak with weird berries (elderberry, cassis, craisins). Flavor is outstanding. Dry as a bone. Berry-licious. Huckleberry and black currants meet blackberry-elderberry syrup. That bitter bite the French do so well is also here in spades. Long linger of tongue smacking kirsch. This is a steal for $6.49! Definite buy again next trip to the biggest box store o them all.
