Just the thing

Badly corked.

A slightly off whiff at the start of this. Then there’s a dry-ish middle with cherry, plum. All quite aged. A fairly abrupt finish.

Shows plenty after an hour decanted. Drinking nicely now and will last many more years to come.

Threw this in with the Napa cabs as a blinder. Really drinking well and at peak

Plummy & chocolatey plus undertones of redcurrant & red bell pepper. Plush, new french oak, significant pyrazine but less significant tannin. That puts me at #rightbank #bordeaux #saintemilion from a ripe vintage. And there she is, yum.

Vintage 2010 - old property that now is included in Quintus. Spicy still tannins chocolate and cherries, good balance

Musty and lacking fruit and brightness. Not good
