2019 vintage. Second wine of La Lagune. Terrific value. I have no idea why the different label for the 2019 vintage.

Second wine of Château La Lagune. This has definitely some of the class of the grand vin. A Margaux-like elegance, clean fruit, fresh acidity, complexity and well-integrated oak. Would merit a higher score if it wasn't for a vegetal note in the finish.

On point. Perfect place in its evolution although I also enjoyed it a bit younger. Still has loads of sandalwood, fresh tobacco and cassis on the nose with some secondary notes developing nicely. Cedar, hoisin sauce and plums starting to show in a complimentary way. A big wine with lots of life left

Ripe cherries, tar, stone. Plenty of backbone & a well balanced finish. Good value #bordeaux

A well balanced, rich tannin, dark fruit expression from a super second.

Very expressive nose, lush, rich yet with freshness.
Creamy cassis, with a fresh note of eucalyptus and some cedar wood. Ripe, rich yet very elegant, poised & enticing.
On the palate this is as fruit forward as on the nose - cassis & black currant, a hint of black cherry, with just a hint of mocha & full milk chocolate. With fresh acidity and a proper finely grained tannic frame this retains the freshness and juiciness making it a delicious, young Bordeaux. A very nice drop!
