Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste
Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend

The 2014 Grand-Puy Lacoste has a bouquet with blackberry, boysenberry, mint and graphite, well defined and focused. It does not have to try too hard to give so much pleasure. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, very crisp acidity, beautifully proportioned with a veneer of top quality new oak that will need three or four years to be fully subsumed. But the purity and elegance of this Pauillac cannot be denied – a quite brilliant contribution to the 2014 vintage. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, March 2018)

This was a great classic Paulliac. Still very young but will be great in several years. Good value.

Not a lot of nose but deep color and very smooth and pleasing. November 2017.

Medium plus to deep ruby red. Dark fruits on the nose with some cedar and minerality. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. A beast that needs some time to develop and grow up. Fresh earthiness on the palate with red berries, solid acidity and a long finish. Drink from 2020 till 2040

Absolutely classic left bank Bordeaux. Cedar, cassis, rich tobacco leaf, graphite with a touch of well balanced oak. Savory notes. Charcuterie , Salame, salt, rounded dark fruit with plenty of acid hanging on. 13.5% great Fathers Day Wine🥰

Tried this 11 months ago and loved it. This time out of a magnum and really needed 3-4 hours to wake up and then started to sing. Dark fruits and a silky palate. Such a great wine but you need patience.

Fabulous wine! In 5-10 years this will be amazing but already a joy to drink.
