I think this bottle was either in a dumb phase or was just slightly off. Aromatic notes of leather, bay leaf, old cherries and earth. Still some tannin but seems slightly evolved for its age...I would have thought this was at least 7-10yrs older. Graphite, more leather, and very underripe red fruits on the palate.

Lovely. Leather, cigar tobacco, earth and silky dark fruit. Only regret is my impacience. Ive had older vintages of this and the 09 has a long way to go

Parchment, stone, dried cherry, bitter cassis. Someone brought this to a church party! 92.

Magnum. Could wait a few years, but ready to drink. So good!

Deep red- no purple tones.
Light horsey aroma that blows off, methyl anthranilate, plum.
Prune/jammy/ripe, light pyrazine earthiness.
Chalky tannin all around palate, acid balanced if a bit subdued.
Grape bubble gum retro, plum

Hit of the night. Like a French Syrah/Pinot/Grenache/etc.

Really nice Margaux, ready to drink. Loads of fruit, almost jammy when warmer

Big and oaky, like mostly everything in Bordeaux these days, but has the balance and fruit to age with dignity.

What a fantastic wine! It has everything that I love in a wine. Chalky earthy with hints of cab franc. Medium to full body with good body and good length.
