Interesting. Very boozy and hot, starting to develop port-like aromas and is holding up to age well. Honestly I had very low expectations from the producer but the wine is holding up as you would expect from the alcohol. — 7 years ago

Floral, honeysuckle, beautiful, bit of a petrol note. Very slight sweetness? Could be cross modal association. Well balanced, overall very solid Riesling, would be worth keeping on hand. I would be interested to see how this ages. — 7 years ago

Bit of a petrol nose. Doesn't smell a bit older than 2014. Floral and ripe fruit, golden with a bit of honey aroma. Acidity is driving, perfectly balanced for the age. Lingers, with retronasal pears and citrus. Another great Chardonnay from Kumeu River, so excited to see it in the US — 7 years ago

Spot on. Surprisingly austere, almost like a Cab Franc or Hawke's Bay Can — 7 years ago

A little past it's prime I think. Slightly nutty/aldehydic aroma, surprisingly acid driven. Overall holding up well. Needs a little time to open up aromatically. Very mouthfeel despite acid. Good draw.

Update: Has opened up beautifully, I should have opened it and Töne striagtb to the Riesling just to let it breath. Oh well. Tasting and smelling great, much more aromatic. Can't go wrong with Meursault.

Killer. Tastes like the color pink. Perfectly balanced. Like South island sauv Blanc without the vegetal flavors, all guava and tropical fruit and deliciousness. Perfect pair with aguachile. Can't wait to taste the SB's we made in NZ in '17 once they get here. — 7 years ago

Meaty, white pepper, bit of menthol... Classic Saint-Emilion. Definitely doing better after decanting, looking forward to seeing it evolve. Bit of eucalyptus. I dig it. — 7 years ago

Holding up very well. Tastes similar to the 2001 Montelena I opened the other week. Ripe fruit but menthol and blueberry undertones, well balanced. Holding up very well. Smells blue and green. Very well balanced acidity and astringency, some olive flavor on the draw — 7 years ago
