1978 vintage. Rustic, but still alive.

Spice and flowers. Good earthy perfume. Terrific and juicy. Very pure. But a sour note.

The night before last we open the 2001 Château du Tertre Margaux Bordeaux blend. This blend is 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.

On the nose are notes of fruit although faint of bkack cherry, blackberry, brambles, licorice, cigar box, roses, oak, woody notes, forest floor and earthy notes

On the palate are notes of black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black pepper, worn leather, cigar tobacco, forest floor and earth.

This wine is medium to full bodied smooth velvety mouthfeel medium acidity and medium to medium+ powdery resolved tannins that still has a long dark earthy worn leather finish. I hope everyone is doing well going into the weekend. Please enjoy yourselves with family and friends. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Lead, black currant, mid weight body, spicy, with a blocky, Margaux structure. Juicy finish. Fine bottle. A bit bitter on the finish.

Excellent. Dark in color. Lots of dark berries on the nose, a little coffee and some fresh cut cedar as well. Drinking beautifully now

Juicy red cherries with a hint of smoke on the nose, fine and well rounded on the palate with medium tannins to add structure. Juicy red fruits with some savory notes. Very enjoyable.

I think this bottle was either in a dumb phase or was just slightly off. Aromatic notes of leather, bay leaf, old cherries and earth. Still some tannin but seems slightly evolved for its age...I would have thought this was at least 7-10yrs older. Graphite, more leather, and very underripe red fruits on the palate.
