Château de Saint-Cosme
Côtes du Rhône Syrah

Uber simple and primary. Purple drank fruit bomb but not heavy or cloying. Great value for $11 but it needs a year or two to settle down.

Bacari has such a great small plate menu that goes so well with Rhône’s.

A nose that is reminiscent of a sunrise at a farm. Wet hay drying.
Raspberry, persimmon, borscht, herbs that err to the side of citrus like, medium bodied and bright mouthful of a great vintage, and a well made wine. The oak well integrated, though could use another year or two. A toast to MLK today.

Lovely CdR, 100% Syrah. Approachable yet still has lots of substance, depth, body and not insignificant tannins. Delicious! Fetmented 10 days in cement vats, maceration 20 days, 6 months ageing in cement vats.

Juicy nose of a stroll though an almost ripened orchard of peaches.
Medium bodied, fresh, flavorful.
Black cherry yoghurt, fresh white peach, mint,
The peach in this is so freaking fresh and delicious, wrapped with the lightest acidity, a touch of lollipop tannins..
Yum

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, earth, light vegetables, pencil lead, chocolates, light barnyard, smoke, spices, tobacco leaf and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, cherries, black plums, wood, licorice, vegetables, spices, smoke, earth, bell pepper, black tea and peppercorn.
Medium on the finish with fine-grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This Côtes du Rhône is always enjoyable. Good by itself or with food. Well balanced and fruity with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up and shows some tannins.
Robert Parker 89 points.
I've had this wine before, on a few different vintages and occasions, and it is very consistent.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
87 Points.
$15.
