Not a blockbuster, but elegant and nicely executed. Nose has subtle toast, lemon oil, crushed limestone, orchard fruit. Nicely concentrated flavors, with crisp, straw, stone, and earth inflected apple fruit, nice acidity. Hint of bitterness in the long finish.

Quite a strange one as even after around 4 hours open it has a distinct sulphuric smell and natural wine like pungency. The honeycomb core points to something delicious, deep and complex underneath that, dare I say, funk. Not sure I love it or hate it. Certainly quite captivating.

Really good indeed for its classification; especially as the cork showed signs of mould and seepage, resulting in a bit of excess acidity and a faint hint of maderisation. Dark apple-yellow colour; honey, lemon rind, and melon; healthy acidity but perhaps a little on the short side.

2014. Ripe white fruits salad with a pinch of oak. Still a bit green but headed towards lusciousness.

A bit over the top but still very good. Nuts, shiitake mushrooms, and candied orange rind. A bit low on the acid but decent length!

Nice Chassagne with 17 years of bottle age. Deep yellow with plenty of acidity and balance - good length. Went well with my Chicken Tikka Bhuna yesterday.
