Beauregard Santenay 1er Cru Chardonnay

Good value White Burg at around $35. Drink near term.

Another killer ‘19.

Regal, Santenay doesn’t get a whole lot of respect but it’s such a great value vis-à-vis Puligny/Chassagne Montrachet & Meursault. Bright, floral, lemon curd, creamy (not buttery) vanilla, spicy oak, some matchstick, and the nose just gently evolved showing beautiful layers. Juicy acidity and on the lean side of medium body in weight, balanced and great persistent length. Paired with Indian food and it absolutely shined.

Would be a perfect 10 if it was every-day price. Still approachable for slightly special days.

Pas de reproche à lui faire, mais pas de compliment non plus. Un peu ennuyant. Mais très bien fait.

Best Chardonnay I have ever had. Med to full body, creamy feel in mouth, pear , nice long finish

Nose was intense wood spice and maybe some lees, not much in the way of fruit. Some small bit of ripe pear. Good medium plus acidity and a round mouthfeel. The palate mirrored the nose: woods pice and cream. It was very drinkable but not what I expect from a white burgundy... there wasn't enough minerality. It also didn't have the fruit I prefer in my wines. A good quality wine but not my style.
