First time trying a Bonarda. I enjoyed this wine. Leathery on the nose which sticks around until it opens up, then there's some nice herb and wet leaves, dark plum and black cherry. High acid on the palate up front with a medium plus body. Smooth finish, mellow tannins. Easy drinking overall but a bit big for my own taste. I prefer with food. Will drink again — 9 years ago
Overall top quality wine. Engaging nose with tobacco and cloves, red fruit like cranberry and cherry, maybe some dark plum. Medium acid, smooth tannins, medium body. An excellent expression of Chianti. I'd love to find a other bottle. Had it with homemade pizza and it therefore made SUCH A nice evening. — 9 years ago
Super fruity, dark ripe cherry, no tannins low acid. Very easy to drink, would probably only consume a bottle and avoid the hangover. — 9 years ago
Totally enjoyed this bubbles. Good honey on the palate and a creamy finish. More off dry than dry but we'll balanced with high acid. Really enjoyable to drink by itself (but not by oneself...share with friends.) — 9 years ago
Drank this after having a better quality wine and I was disappointed. Obviously it's a good price but it's a very one dementional wine. I only got boring wood, not even tobacco or vanilla...just oak. Barely any fruit, possibly some smooshed black cherry but I most just wanted to smell that. I don't think I'll be buying this wine again. — 9 years ago
Smooth full bodied Zin. Dark fruits, low tannins, long fruit finish. Only some wet leaves hanging in the background. Food friendly, drank with a rosemary chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would buy and drink again — 9 years ago
Nose was intense wood spice and maybe some lees, not much in the way of fruit. Some small bit of ripe pear. Good medium plus acidity and a round mouthfeel. The palate mirrored the nose: woods pice and cream. It was very drinkable but not what I expect from a white burgundy... there wasn't enough minerality. It also didn't have the fruit I prefer in my wines. A good quality wine but not my style. — 9 years ago

Yum. Balanced. Raspberry jam with some acidity and light tannins. Very interesting and would definitely drink again. — 8 years ago
