It’s time to hit my ‘Press for Champagne’ button (yes it’s a real thing in my @grandcrudigital office)! This week we celebrated 8 weeks old - 2 months!! Wow I know everyone says it goes fast but it’s so hard to think we don’t officially have a newborn (I read newborns are 0-2 months) anymore.
Anyway to celebrate we picked up this Champagne Chateau de Bligny Grande Reserve Brut from @danmurphys for $55. It was one we hadn’t seen before so thought we’d give it a shot 🍾
It’s a a 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes and it’s absolutely scrumptious! We would buy it again for sure.
Think bright citrus notes with white peaches. It has a smooth texture and great length to it. In fact when drinking it I didn’t even write down any notes at the time as I was enjoying it that much! I’m already looking forward to my next bottle 🙌

A very nice champagne. Some brioche, tons of apples (fresh and baked), some lime, and stone. There’s also some pear. Really nice for the price.

Dec 4th, 2020Very nice bubbly found at our local grocery wine dept..$29.99! Throw in the $10 employer gift card for working the pandemic and 25 cents fuel savers..it all makes this bottle a memorable celebration indeed! 🤣
I am enjoying this bubbly..1st time! Nice red delicious apples, pear, peach and brioche! Great length and nice acidity to counter the fruit! I would get this again!

Stood up nicely to a beautiful lamb roast, and Dire Straits soundtrack! Rich and creamy, soft lingering aftertaste leaves you craving more. Definitely would drink it again with or without a meal. AU $55
