Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Historic Napa winery; been awhile since I tried one of theirs. Light yellow, slight spritz after pour. Slight grapefruit note on nose. Crisp, citrusy and dry, tart with grapefruit rind and apple core on finish. Better with food

Pale lemon with aromas of fresh tropical fruit, citrus and flinty notes. On the palate crisp peach, honeydew melon and citrus lime rind flavors with a touch of floral spice. Well balanced with vivid acidity and citrus on the medium finish.

An inoffensive and quaffable Sauvignon Blanc which leans on toward the herbal and soft side of this varietal. Showcases flavors of bell oepper, gooseberry, with hints of lemon/lime & cream, but not quite enough acidity.  A decent pairing to cook and drink with shrimp scampi! [3/27/24] ($13)

Super fresh and easy to drink, perhaps too easy. Bright citrus like lemon and grapefruit up front, with crisp green apple later on. There’s a light herbal note that makes it really fresh. Clean, zippy finish with nice acidity. It’s really refreshing and not overly sweet. Pretty subdued compared to other sauvignon blancs i’ve tried. Better with food.

The 2019 cab from Charles Krug is an excellent vintage. Balanced oakey tannins, and a strong, but smooth Napa style finish.

A sedate SV but very pleasant. A hint of citrus and goes well with a cold summer salad.

I think I got this at Costco. Great wine. Citrus overtones, crisp, light.
