Mar 10th, 2014Great color. Light and precise with really lucid floral notes, then a touch of sour oxidative notes. Lemon, and a soft slatey minerality. As time passes more hazelnut coming through. Delicious. An immaculate bottle.

Nov 8th, 20171985 vintage at Hotel Les Crayeres. Champagne Charlie 1979 in magnum was one of my all time best wine experiences, so I was keen to try this gem. It didn't disappoint. Pale golden hue. Not a hint of oxidation. Fresh ripe lemon notes, white flower and honey suckle. Slight coffee bean and walnut. Complex. On the palate, medium plus acidity, small persistent bubbles and medium minus body. Classy and elegant but with some umph on the finish. Superb. Outshone the 1985 Blanc des Millenaires. Drink now.
