Prior notes still apply, delicious bottle.

Nose has toasted brioche, grilled lemon, warm lemon creme, lemon zest, oxidized pear slice and fresh, rising bread dough. Palate has lemon pound cake, cold toast, limestone chips, dried lemon slice and (light) candied orange.
Great mid-palate, a restrained richness is all elegance, acid balance is perfect and not pulling you one way or another. At 15 years past vintage, a great example of finesse in Champagne.

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our Conductors Andris Nelsons and John Williams will be leading a very engaging program of Jessie MONTGOMERY (Starburst), John WILLIAMS (Violin Concerto No. 2, world premiere featuring Anne-Sophie Mutter!), COPLAND (Quiet City) and STRAVINSKY (Suite from The Firebird, 1919 version). We're getting the luxury of enjoying Mr. Williams two nights in a row...what a great weekend of Contemporary music!

Nose is toasty and with lots of brioche. Nutty with huge caressing minerality. Really nice, enveloping and inviting. Palate is so elegant but also full of peach and apricot skins. Lovely mousse and concentration. Terrific freshness and very very good acids. Impressive structure and purity. Needs an hour to come more together. Will be back.

Marvelous, mature, integrated, Champagne! Loaded with roasted nuts and balanced by crisp red fruit acidity and excellent chalky minerality.

Sharp yet beautiful. The nose has a wonderful creamy vanilla pudding with highlights of candied lemon and spice. The palate shows the same candied lemon with apple, spice hints of vanilla and laser acidity. The bubbles are fading a bit but provide great texture and still maintain a fine bead on the palate.

This Champagne is so flavorful. Just the right age now. The palette is complex, dominated by brioche and toasted notes along with pear. A Melba toast and pear nose. One of the best Champagnes I have had yet reasonably priced.

Great minerality as with a lot of the Charles Ellner vintage champagne, great with oysters, firefly squid, and hamachi. Better after an hour, as the edges are a bit more rounded

75 bdb 25 Bdn.

On open nose is yeasty. A hint of lemon zest. pretty. A hint of candied lemon peel.

Palate - wow. Deliciously lemon fruit that is so good it’s almost sweet even though it’s brut. Some nice minerality. Extremely high on the deliciousness scale.

Long lemony finish. Some lemon peel.
