Color is bricking but the wine is still vigorous. Loads of dried and macerated cherry, along with intense savory notes veering into iodine. Loads of rich library furniture scents too. In the mouth it’s got a good initial whack of dark cherry and gravelly earth. Soft tannins coat the mouth as the flavors molt into earthy, leathery notes in the finish. Peaking now, it’s a complex, balanced CCR.

Viscous and legs-producing liquid with purple-red color; a delicious stonybrook chlorine minerality comes first on the nose followed by dark small mulberries and blackberries, dusty notes, and a clear oak profile with spices and vanillin; mouthfilling high acid and tannins integrate fairly well with the fruit and spices and end with a chest-burning satisfying medium-length finish (14% alcohol). Good price-to-quality ratio. Had with Beaufort and Kaltbach cheeses accompanied by Louie and the Dukes of Dixieland on vinyl.

Special treat to try the beautifully aged Chianti Classici with Andrea Cecchi. Great expression of Sangiovese that shows the more rustic style of its era.

Slightly earthy and leather - light on fruit and not very well balanced.

Чуть сладковато и джемово, чуть сладко-цветочно. Вкус пустоватый, горьковатый, с мощными танинами. 14.5/20 (82/100)
