Bright orange colour, expressive nose of coffee, orange peel, anis, scrub herbs, medium bodied and the harsh Nebbiolo tannins. Good

Expensive ($60-90ish depending on your location) but worth it. Young at 6 years after harvest, but better the 2nd day. Not even the slightest perceptible flaw, this is a bright sour cherry Barolo that will certainly improve with time in bottle. Changes in the glass over time, this is a balanced traditionally-produced bottle.

Tasted via Coravin as part of Capital Grille's by the glass program. Bright, plenty of energy, red fruits and minerals. Sustains on the palate, decent complexity. Good acidity makes it food friendly.

Tasted from cask at Cavallotto. Nose smells a bit unfinished, but deep with dark fruit and a bit of funk. Smooth with quite strong but relatively well integrated tannins, excellent acid, and a long finish. Would love to try in 5-10 years.

Loved this at tastings, less convinced now - maybe in an awkward phase. Dark and more evolved bricking than I would have guessed. Bitter cherry taste, needs time?

Starts rather tight and tarry, but slowly opens to reveal serious complexity and beautiful fruit depth

Aromas were pinched by stubborn reduction that remained in the background after hours of exposure to air. Just ok.
