vintage 2015 | Sour cherry, minerals, slim wine. Beautiful Tuscan with Bordeaux grapes.

Super Tuscan, ripe tannins, cherry and cola. Good but why? Stick to Sangiovese please, why do you need French grapes. Still have to drink the first Super Tuscan I care about even though they are technically sound and delicious.

This is a Super Tuscan, Bordeaux varietal blend from Roberto Cavalli's family. Despite its 8-year age, it shows younger. The color is still solidly a deep purple-red. Blackberry and cherry on the nose, follows as sour cherry and cola on the palate. Medium body, medium plus acidity, somewhat bitter tannins and medium finish. I do not get any tertiary notes, and the experience is not well integrated or round. Not sure what I'm missing. This is one of the only times I've disagreed with @Antonio Galloni. So don't take my word for it. Still good, not very good.

Owned by the family since the early 70s, estate is located in the village of San Leolino, near Panzano in Chianti. A blend of 50% Cab Sauv, 35% Petit Verdot & 15% Cab Franc, aromas of fruit and floral notes. On the palate raspberry and cranberry flavors with some herbal notes. Firm tannins, good balance ending with earthy mineral character.

Easy drinking , smooth . Fruity , cedar , liquorice . Lick of vanilla . Drink around a fireplace . Very good

Lovely blend. Full and plentiful on the nose, round edges on the palate.

Butter, vanilla, cedar and menthol.
