Riserva Berardo Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend

Great acid and tannic structure. Like traipsing through the woods after a warm mid-summer rain. Wet eucalyptus, mulch, and lilies.

Bright and vibrant, red fruits, dusty tannins, a touch of spice. Not too fruity at this stage. Acidity is high and perhaps lends to a touch of imbalance. Needs the right food to complement it but certainly easy to put down!

This used to be burly. Tannins have softened. It has become rather elegant with the flavors of Chianti you expect.

Also excellent. Tighter, darker, than the Monsanto, but just as good. More earthy.

This is in a really good place. Took a long time for the oak to integrate, but it has.

Really good. Dark cherry, earth, some tobacco. Big and long. Fairly complex.

100% Sangiovese. 24 mo barrique aging. Oak is fully integrated. Nice Sangiovese bite. Glad I have more!

Not for sipping unless a good sixty minutes before in a decanter. Typical characteristics of a CCR...plus some good old "Gaul women" smoke on the back end. Will go beautifully with tonight's charred fatty T-bone. A few left in the cellar...drink up...its arrived...and will only head South from here.
