I hate the waxed cork! What a mess to open this sucker. An expensive wine which I saved to serve to fussy guests. I become more critical of my offerings when I serve knowledgeable guests... sigh.... I liked the wine. It was quite nice, rich with taste of dark cherries. I almost loved it, except for acidic tones being a little out of balance. Still a rather lovely wine. Too expensive for what it is, however.

Bold ripe dark fruit, hint of vanilla, balanced tannin in the back of tongue, not too heavy but bold enough for a good steak dinner.
