Beautiful aromatics strong acidity and great tannin. Could easily age for 5 more years. Strong fresh red and blue fruit with savory tannin and finish. Does better with more air.

We had the 2013 Vintage on 1/27-28/22. This is a well balanced, Old World wine. The tannins were all smoothed out. The three years or so since I lasted rated this wine made a nice difference. Bouquet of nutmeg, cinnamon and red fruit. Tastes of cherry, strawberry and leather. Very good

Celebrating a new job offer tonight with some Filet Mignon and this beauty of a wine I’ve been sitting on. Rich and brooding fruit forward Chianti with a savory backbone. Blackberry, black cherry and plum skin, charred herbs, forest floor, new leather, dried purple flowers and sweet and spicy baking spices (clove and cinnamon). Medium plus acidity with medium plus, grippy tannins, medium plus body, long length of finish. High quality wine from one of the best Chianti producers out there. Definitely a treat!

Great texture, balance, and elegance. Intense plump cherry, spice, tobacco, hint of mint, violet...fantastic!

We had the 2013 Vintage on 8/17-18/18. Cinnamon and dark fruit on the bouquet. Strawberry, , oak and a little spice and leather. The tannins held this together. Can age for years. A good, medium bodied wine.

2013 vintage opened 2017. I want to give this more than a 9.0, but I can't right now. Out of the bottle it's very tight with almost no bouquet. Nice Tanic structure though. Soft mouth feel all the way through to the end through to a slightly tart finish on the back pallet. Once it opens up, it's a different story. A bouquet of cherries and saddle leather. We start to get some fruit on the front pallet, but the tannic body seems to deteriorate. The whole structure starts to get a bit watery. Still a very nice wine, but not great. Granted, I'm drinking this very very very young.
