Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend

Rich and spicy, reminds me of Christmas. Fills the mouth, a broad wine with a finish not as long as it is wide but comforting all over.

Drank 6/16/18.
Nice pairing with sausage lasagne.

Medium nose of black and red cherry, with some tar. Flavors of black cherry, earth, tar, and some tobacco leaf. Medium plus tannins add support without being distracting. Medium finish. A darker style of Chianti Classico.

Very classic chianti - easy to drink fruit with a hint of spice

Showing all that a ripe vintage is known for...now, early mature Sangiovese aromas and savory flavors prevail. Weight and balance are modern-classic in structure. The QPR is rather good. Year in, year out this wine delivers regional character for a great price. Very cellerable. Will last another 5-8 years.

Chianti Classico to have additional changes to labeling next year

Smooth, dry finish. Black currant, mossy nose, slight fruit forward.

Cherry, earthy blackberry, and smoke. Rich but restrained.

Dry with cherry, smoke, and potpourri. Clean on the finish.

Spicy and fruity for a Chianti. Delicious. Not as spicy with chocolate. Really good with chocolate.

Not your average Chianti Classico. Tastes like a Margaux to me.
